Debbie Hancock started on Young Talent Time aged 12,
with her first song being "Our Day Will Come".
Debbie Hancock, Karen Knowles and Steven Zammit used
to go to rehearsals together and as a result they
became good friends.
Debbie remembers her most enjoyable moment was going to the Logies.
At this time she had only been in the show for three weeks and her first
episode hadn't even been aired yet. The show won best musical variety program
and she was excited to meet Henry Winkler.
After leaving YTT, she worked in a modelling agency
and did television commercials. She met her husband,
Michael Neat, on Blind Date and has one son.
She lives close by Nicole Cooper who she
remained close friends with over the years.
Pondering whether she would do it all again, her
response was: "Yeah, probably, but it does change your life."
