Joe Perrone joined the Johnny Young Talent School
in 1978 because his father thought he would meet
people.
Joe recalls that before he joined the show he couldn't
dance because he had "two left feet", and the only
songs he sung were under the shower!
When he left the team he started arranging and
composing the music for the show.
Looking back, Joe thinks he first found public favour
when he sang the chart hit
"Shaddup-a-you-face".
Through his 5 and 1/2 years with YTT, Joe Perrone
became one of the Australia's most popular teenagers.
When Joe left YTT he found it hard to shake the YTT
image but still managed to go on to write and record
his own music in America.
Joe is currently living in Munich, Germany, where he
is pursuing a career in dance music.
