Vanessa Windsor started on Y.T.T. when she was 12
going on 13 years old in 1983.
Her first song "If They Could See Me Now".
She was previously a contestant on the show,
singing "Carnegie Hall".
Vanessa auditioned for the show as a dare from her
friends, Emma and Monica, who were also auditioning.
She was stunned when she found out she got the part!
Vanessa recalls the touring to be the best part of her YTT days.
After YTT, she sang in various bands.
At 18, she starred in 42nd Street and landed small
roles in TV dramas, including Patsy in "GP".
Vanessa is now married with 3 boys and living in Brisbane.
When asked her if she would do it all over again,
her response was: "I would, but I'd be a lot more
careful, maybe even learn a musical instrument as
back-up."
